Water sorption thermodynamic properties applied to persimmon skin and pulp [PDF]
Moisture equilibrium data of persimmon skin and pulp were determined using the static gravimetric method. Adsorption and desorption isotherms were obtained in the range of 20-70°C, to water activities (a w) from 0.02 to 0.85.

Two-step crystal engineering of porous nets from [Cr3(μ 3-O)(RCO2)6] and [Cu3(μ 3-Cl)(RNH2)6Cl6] molecular building blocks [PDF]
Two porous nets have been prepared via a 2-step crystal engineering approach that links decorated trigonal prismatic [Cr3(μ 3-O)(CO2)6] and [Cu3(μ 3-Cl)(RNH2)6Cl6] molecular building blocks, MBBs.

Triphasic Model of Heat and Moisture Transport with Internal Mass Exchange in Paperboard [PDF]
Mixture theory is used to derive a triphasic model to describe processes in paperboard consisting of solid fiber, bound water and gas. The gas is viewed as a miscible mix of the two constituents dry air and water vapor.

The synthesis of 2‐methyl propellane and its conversion to various 1,2‐ and 1,2,3‐di‐ and trisubstituted bicyclopentanes is reported. Abstract Bicyclo[1.1.1]pentanes (BCPs) have emerged as isosteric replacements for mono‐ and para‐substituted benzene rings in medicinal and materials applications, involving substitution at the BCP bridgehead (1,3 ...

Isosteric Substitution Enables Rational Design of Two‐Dimensional Energetic Crystals
Isosteric substitution transforms a classical nitro–amine motif into two‐dimensional aminofurazans with performance beyond TATB. ABSTRACT Two‐dimensional (2D) energetic crystals dissipate mechanical insult via interlayer slip, yet their molecular design space remains narrow.
