Decreased Noradrenaline (Norepinephrine) Synthesis in Neurogenic Orthostatic Hypotension [PDF]
Three patients with idiopathic orthostatic (postural) hypotension were infused over a 4-hr period with 104.6 µc of 3-hydroxytyramine-2- 14 C, the immediate precursor in the synthesis of the sympathetic neurohormone, that is, noradrenaline (norepinephrine).

Identification of Dementia With Lewy Bodies by Skin Biopsy in Recent‐Onset Cognitive Impairment
ABSTRACT Immunofluorescence for phosphorylated alpha‐synuclein in skin biopsy samples is an emerging biomarker in synucleinopathies comprising Dementia with Lewy bodies. In this pilot study, 19 patients with recent‐onset (≤ 18 months) cognitive impairment underwent skin biopsy at baseline, with follow‐up clinical re‐evaluation.

Characteristics, Management, and Outcomes of Hospitalized Patients with Orthostatic Hypotension
ABSTRACT Orthostatic hypotension (OH) is a common inpatient condition associated with falls, syncope, and mortality. However, standardized approaches for inpatient management of OH are lacking and may vary across clinical specialties. In this retrospective observational cohort study, we reviewed the electronic medical records of patients admitted to ...
