Feline Immunodeficiency Virus Neuropathogenesis: From Cats to Calcium
Invasion of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) into the central and peripheral nervous system produces a wide range of neurological symptoms, which continue to persist even with adequate therapeutic suppression of the systemic viremia. The development of

Global Gene Expression Analysis of the Brainstem in EV71- and CVA16-Infected Gerbils
Enterovirus 71 (EV71) and coxsackievirus A16 (CVA16) are the two most important pathogens of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). However, the neuropathogenesis of EV71 and CVA16 has not been elucidated.

Neuropathogenesis of naturally occurring encephalitis caused by Listeria monocytogenes in ruminants
Listeriosis is a serious food-borne disease with increasing frequency in humans and ruminants. Despite the facts that in both hosts, listeriosis can occur as rhombencephalitis and ruminants are a reservoir of Listeria monocytogenes (LM) strains ...

Neuropathogenesis of Human Rabies
Rabies is an acute infection that occurs in the central nervous system caused by a virus from the Rhabdoviridae family and the Lyssavirus genus that can be transmitted by dogs, cats, monkeys, bats, civets, and wolves. The purpose of writing this literature review is to determine the definition, epidemiology, neuropathogenesis and the role of ...

Neural Stem Cells as Tools for Understanding Retroviral Neuropathogenesis
The discovery within the past decade that neural stem cells (NSCs) from the developing and adult mammalian brain can be propagated, cloned, and genetically manipulated ex vivo for ultimate transfer back into the CNS has opened the door to a novel means ...

Upon JEV infection, ZNF33B recruits METTL14 to stabilize the METTL3‐METTL14 m6A methyltransferase complex, leading to increased m6A modification of host transcripts, including Trim25 mRNA. ZNF33B selectively binds m6A‐modified sites on Trim25 mRNA and accelerates its decay, resulting in reduced TRIM25 protein abundance.
