New Methodology Approach to Creativity Studies
The aim of this paper is to present a new experimental approach to creativity studies. As a good example of experimental design, we suggest using the superimposed photographs from the IAPS database, as stimuli which should provoke a creative answer in subjects, based on the findings of Rotenberg’s “Janusian process” and homospatial thinking.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

[Cryotherapy of the brain--a new methodologic approach].
Cryodestruction of tissue is influenced by cooling and thawing rates, absolute tissue temperature, number of freeze-thaw cycles, and type of tissue. However, under clinical conditions a MRT visualization of the temperature distribution during cryo-procedures is not possible.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...
