P3.269 Association ofNeisseria GonorrhoeaeNG-MAST Strain Types and Specific Mutation Pattern Combinations inpenA, mtrRandporB [PDF]
Background Antimicrobial resistance to third generation cephalosporins, penicillin and tetracycline in Neisseria gonorrhoeae isolates can be associated with particular strain types (STs) as well as specific mutation patterns in penA, mtrR or porB .

IL-9 induces VEGF secretion from human mast cells and IL-9/IL-9 receptor genes are overexpressed in atopic dermatitis. [PDF]
Interleukin 9 (IL-9) has been implicated in mast cell-related inflammatory diseases, such as asthma, where vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is involved.

P645 Peruvian gonococcal strains reveal novel NG-MAST types and false-positive β-lactamase isolates withblatemgene mutations [PDF]
Background The Global Emerging Infectious Surveillance Program of the U.S. Department of Defense, Armed Forces Health Surveillance Branch supports a repository for Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC) clinical isolates recovered from routine care at U.S. Military Treatment Facilities in the continental US (CONUS) and at several overseas (OCONUS) labs though ...

Extrusion‐based bioprinting (EBB) has emerged as a versatile biofabrication platform capable of precisely depositing bioinks composed of biomaterials, cells, and bioactive agents to generate patient‐specific, biomimetic skin constructs. This paper presents a state‐of‐the‐art and forward‐looking overview of EBB for wound healing, encompassing printing ...

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Neisseria gonorrhoeae is a major concern worldwide and gonococcal AMR surveillance globally is imperative for public health purposes. In Eastern Europe, gonococcal AMR surveillance is exceedingly rare. However, in 2004 the Russian gonococcal antimicrobial susceptibility programme (RU-GASP) was initiated.

A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.
