A new “one‐pot” metal‐free stereoselective method for the synthesis of novel diversely functionalized pyrrolidine‐2‐ones from N‐alkyl‐ or N‐arylsulfonamidoacetophenones was developed. The majority of obtained compounds possess low micromolar antiproliferative activities.
