New insights in cellular senescence: The pituitary model
Senescence is a pivotal process in pituitary tumorigenesis. Recent advances have elucidated the complex mechanisms by which key factors, including IL‐6, establish and maintain senescence in these tumors. Given the critical role of senescence and the development of novel techniques to detect senescent cells, the identification of biomarkers and the ...

This study reveals that our self‐developed xanthine derivative, KMUP‐3, suppresses osteoclastogenesis, inflammation, and pyroptosis by inhibiting the NLRP3 inflammasome. It also alleviates periodontal bone loss in periodontitis rats, highlighting its potential as a novel therapeutic option for periodontitis.

This study demonstrates how Vibrio cholerae activates the cry1 gene in response to host‐derived reactive nitrogen species (RNS) during infection via the ChrR‐RpoE pathway. This activation enhances bacterial resilience to environmental stressors, particularly blue light, by driving Cry1‐mediated DNA repair mechanisms.

Enteric neuropathy and the vagus nerve: Therapeutic implications
Abstract Enteric neuropathies are characterized by abnormalities of gut innervation, which includes the enteric nervous system, inducing severe gut dysmotility among other dysfunctions. Most of the gastrointestinal tract is innervated by the vagus nerve, the efferent branches of which have close interconnections with the enteric nervous system and ...
