Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Penentuan Kebutuhan Pokok Protein Pada Napu (Tragulus napu)

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Ilmu-Ilmu Peternakan, 2009
The study aimed to determine the protein requirements for basic life and growth on Napu. Four Napus with an average 3.2 kg body weight were used in this study. 4 X 4 Latin square design was used in this research.

On the thermodynamic stability and structural transition of clathrate hydrates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Gas mixtures of methane and ethane form structure II clathrate hydrates despite the fact that each of pure methane and pure ethane gases forms the structure I hydrate.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Stable Isotope Analysis of Planktonic Lower Food Webs of Lakes Erie, Huron, Michigan and Superior

open access: yesLimnological Review
Historical plankton samples from the St. Lawrence Great Lakes were subjected to taxon-specific 15N analysis to test the hypothesis that the changes recorded in zooplankton communities during the 21st Century are related to changes in the trophic ...

A reappraisal of nitrogen-to-protein conversion factors in cassava roots. [S10-05] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A study was conducted comparing the amino acid profiles of 10 commercial varieties (COL) and 15 clones with the highest levels of nitrogen (HIN) over two years of harvests. The highest nitrogen values detected in roots to date are close to 1.30%.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Nitrogen mineralization in soils amended with sunnhemp, velvet bean and common bean residues

open access: yesScientia Agricola, 2003
Nitrogen (15N) released from sunnhemp (Crotalaria juncea), velvet bean (Mucuna aterrima) and from Phaseolus bean residues was evaluated after incubation of the plant material in an Eutrudox and a Paleudalf, in a greenhouse experiment with pots containing

Conformation-Specific Spectroscopy of Peptide Fragment Ions in a Low-Temperature Ion Trap [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We have applied conformer-selective infrared-ultraviolet (IR-UV) double-resonance photofragment spectroscopy at low temperatures in an ion trap mass spectrometer for the spectroscopic characterization of peptide fragment ions.
