Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Youth With Childhood‐Onset Lupus: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Our objective was to determine the feasibility and acceptability of the Treatment and Education Approach for Childhood‐Onset Lupus (TEACH), a six‐session cognitive behavioral intervention addressing depressive, fatigue, and pain symptoms, delivered remotely to individual youth with lupus by a trained interventionist.

Swelling‐Programmed Topographical Guidance for Dynamic Spheroid Self‐Assembly via a Mechanochemical Hydrogel Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A swelling‐programmed micropatterned hydrogel guides adherent cells through a controlled transition from cell–matrix anchoring to cadherin‐mediated cell–cell compaction, enabling rapid assembly of high‐viability spheroids with defined size and morphology.

Natural Killer Cells in Inflammatory Lesions and Transplanted Tumors in Mouse Skin [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
1989-03The mode of natural killer (NK) cell migration to the sites of inflammation and transplanted tumors was investigated by using dry ice for physical irritation and 1-fluoro-2,4 dinitrobenzene (DNFB) for chemical irritation in mouse ear.

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

Presentation of an Immunodominant Immediate-Early CD8+ T Cell Epitope Resists Human Cytomegalovirus Immunoevasion. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Control of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) depends on CD8+ T cell responses that are shaped by an individual's repertoire of MHC molecules. MHC class I presentation is modulated by a set of HCMV-encoded proteins.

Interlayer Expansion of Bulk MoS2 via Top‐Down Organic Pillaring Enables Tunable Li+ Intercalation and Controlled Solvent Co‐Intercalation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Top‐down organic pillaring expands the interlayer spacing of bulk‐sized MoS2 particles while preserving the bulk morphology. Operando X‐ray diffraction and electrochemical dilatometry show that MoS2‐bulk undergoes solvent co‐intercalation in diglyme electrolyte, causing large structural expansion, while pillared, expanded MoS2 suppresses solvent uptake

The activating receptors 2B4 and NTB-A, but not CRACC are subject to ligand-induced down-regulation on human natural killer cells

open access: yes, 2010
Activation of natural killer cells can be mediated by different receptors. Stimulation of the receptors 2B4, NTB-A and CRACC, members of the SLAM-related receptor family, induces cytotoxicity and cytokine production.

Role of NK cells in immune escape in patients with classical paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine
Background Paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) is an acquired clonal haematopoietic stem cell disorder. Immune escape is crucial in PNH, and our previous studies revealed that natural killer (NK) cells potential participate in the immune escape of
