Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Epigenetic reprogramming in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) and downstream myeloid cells, mediated by H3.3 downregulation and endogenous retroelement (ERE) overexpression, contributes to the progression of multiple sclerosis (MS). ABSTRACT Background Skewed myelopoiesis in the bone marrow has been identified as a key driver of multiple ...

Proteomic characterization of human CMV-driven adaptive NK cells
Human Natural killer (NK) cells are a lymphocyte population of innate immunity, usually short-living and capable of providing rapid responses against viral infections and tumors without prior sensitization.

NK cells and poxvirus infection [PDF]
In recent years, our understanding of the role of natural killer (NK) cells in the response to viral infection has grown rapidly. Not only do we realize viruses have many immune-evasion strategies to escape NK cell responses, but that stimulation of NK cell subsets during an antiviral response occurs through receptors seemingly geared directly at viral

ABSTRACT Objectives Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common but often underrecognized complication in ischemic stroke patients undergoing mechanical thrombectomy, particularly among those with pre‐existing renal impairment. This study evaluated the incidence, risk factors, and clinical impact of AKI in this high‐risk population.

Antiviral treatment alters the frequency of activating and inhibitory receptor-expressing natural killer cells in chronic Hepatitis B virus infected patients [PDF]
Natural killer (NK) cells play a critical role in innate antiviral immunity, but little is known about the impact of antiviral therapy on the frequency of NK cell subsets.

Advances in Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell-Derived Natural Killer Cell Therapy
Natural killer (NK) cells are cytotoxic lymphocytes of the innate immune system capable of killing virus-infected cells and/or cancer cells. The commonly used NK cells for therapeutic applications include primary NK cells and immortalized NK cell lines ...

Development of Murine Hepatic NK Cells during Ontogeny: Comparison with Spleen NK Cells
The phenotype of developing liver NK cells (CD3−NK1.1+) was investigated during mouse ontogeny comparing with spleen NK cells. The highest percentage of hepatic CD27−CD11b− NK cells occurred at the fetal stage.

Circulating CXCR5+ natural killer cells are expanded in patients with myasthenia gravis
Objectives Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a classic autoantibody‐mediated disease in which pathogenic antibodies target postsynaptic membrane components, causing fluctuating skeletal muscle weakness and fatigue.
