Long Non‐Coding RNA, Like NEAT1 and MALAT1, in Asthma: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, EarlyView.
Long non‐coding RNA, like NEAT1 and MALAT1, is emerging as a regulator of asthma‐related inflammation, airway remodelling, viral responses and cell death pathways, and are promising targets for future therapeutics. ABSTRACT Asthma affects millions worldwide. Long non‐coding RNA (lncRNA) are emerging as important factors in the pathophysiology of asthma

Reduced Circulating Regulatory T Cells in Autoimmune and Chronic Idiopathic Neutropenia of Childhood: An Observational Study of Clinical and Laboratory Associations

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To investigate circulating regulatory T cells (Tregs) in children with autoimmune neutropenia (AIN) and chronic idiopathic neutropenia (CIN) and evaluate their associations with clinical and laboratory features of neutropenia. Methods Plasma and Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) were collected from 69 participants.

Clinical Outcomes of Gradual Corticosteroid Tapering for Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor‐Induced Liver Injury

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
Patients with severe ICI‐induced liver injury are commonly treated with corticosteroids, but the optimal tapering strategy remains uncertain. In this study, a gradual corticosteroid tapering strategy based partly on Japanese clinical practice for autoimmune hepatitis was associated with a low rate of relapse and enabled many patients to safely resume ...

Immune Consequences of Metabolic Syndrome and Its Treatment: A Cytokine Perspective

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from individuals with metabolic syndrome (MetS) who were not using glucose‐and/or lipid lowering medication (GLLM) exhibited a broader cytokine production profile after in vitro antigen‐specific stimulation than PBMCs from individuals with MetS using such medications and from healthy donors.
