Donor-Specific Anti-HLA Antibodies in Huntington's Disease Recipients of Human Fetal Striatal Grafts

open access: yesCell Transplantation, 2015
Fetal grafting in a human diseased brain was thought to be less immunogenic than other solid organ transplants, hence the minor impact on the efficacy of the transplant.

CD112 Lactylation Drives Dual Immune Evasion From CD8+ T Cells and NK Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS2 functions as an intracellular lactate sensor and lactyltransferase, catalyzing CD112 K412 lactylation to block ubiquitination‐dependent degradation and stabilize CD112. This pathway suppresses CD8+ T‐cell and NK‐cell cytotoxicity, enabling dual immune evasion.

Emergence of highly profibrotic and proinflammatory Lrat+Fbln2+ HSC subpopulation in alcoholic hepatitis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Lrat+ quiescent hepatic stellate cells (qHSC) give rise to Lrat+Fbln2+ activated HSC (aHSC) in alcohol‐associated hepatitis and this subpopulation is highly profibrotic, inflammatory, and immunoregulatory based on their single cell transcriptomic profile. Abstract Background and Aims Relative roles of HSCs and portal fibroblasts in alcoholic hepatitis (

Checkpoint‐Directed Glycoengineering Reprograms the Vascular Lumen for Siglec‐Mediated Immune Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Checkpoint‐directed glycoengineering installs sialylated ligands on the donor vascular lumen during ex vivo preservation, creating a localized Siglec‐7/9‐engaging interface. The engineered glycocalyx suppresses immune‐cell activation, complement deposition, and microvascular injury in arterial and kidney allografts while preserving endothelial ...

Human leukocyte antigen immunization in transfusion-dependent Moroccan patients with beta-thalassemia major: prevalence and risk factors

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy
Introduction: Beta-thalassemia major patients need a regular blood transfusion to have an initial normal growth. However, these patients have an increased risk of developing alloantibodies. Our main goal was to study HLA alloimmunization in Moroccan Beta-

Moving beyond HLA: A review of nHLA antibodies in organ transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Given the finite graft life expectancy of HLA identical organ transplants and the recognition of humoral graft injury in the absence of donor directed anti-HLA antibodies, the clinical impact of antibodies against non-HLA (nHLA) antigens in transplant ...

Spatially Confined/Ligand‐Directed Ultrabright NIR‐AIE Nanoprobe for In Vitro Rapid Detection and In Situ Imaging of Bacterial Septic Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inorganic PbS quantum dots spatially confine AIEgens and enable cooperative luminescence within a ligand‐directed core–shell–shell nanoassembly, generating ultrabright NIR PPANPs with enhanced fluorescence and photothermal performance. The platform enables 10‐min S.

Donor‐Cell Senescence Redirects PINK1‐Marked Mitochondrial Cargo From Mitophagy to Microvesicle Transfer Through SUMO3‐Stabilized HSPA9

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicle therapies have been developed for tissue repair, but how donor‐cell senescence reshapes vesicle‐mediated mitochondrial transfer remains unclear. Here, we show that senescent adipose‐derived stem cells (ADSCs) redirect damaged mitochondria into microvesicles (MVs), converting protective vesicles into pro‐degenerative ...

Low-dose aspirin and heparin treatment improves pregnancy outcome in recurrent pregnancy loss women with anti-β2-glycoprotein I/HLA-DR autoantibodies: a prospective, multicenter, observational study

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
IntroductionAnti-β2-glycoprotein I (β2GPI)/human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DR antibodies may be a risk factor for recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). The therapeutic modality for women with RPL and anti-β2GPI/HLA-DR antibody positivity has not been evaluated ...

Gapless Complete Genome and Multi‐Omics Illuminate Immune Adaptation and Host‐Virus Interactions in a Coronavirus Reservoir

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a complete T2T genome assembly for a key bat reservoir. Integrating population genomics, comparative genomics, transcriptomics, single‐cell omics, and functional assays, we resolve previously inaccessible genomic regions and identify evolutionary signatures associated with immune adaptation.
