[Non-IgE-mediated food allergy].
Food allergy is an immune response to proteins in food. It usually affects 8% of children and 2% of adults in Western countries. Non-IgE-mediated food allergy mainly affects the gastrointestinal tract. Gastrointestinal food allergies are classified, by their underlying pathogenesis, as: IgE-mediated, non-IgE-mediated, or mixed. The symptoms of patients

Background: Non-IgE-mediated gastrointestinal food allergy includes adverse reactions to food mediated by the innate immune system and cellular immunity. It is characterized by subacute or chronic gastrointestinal symptoms after ingestion of a relevant food allergen, making diagnosis difficult.

We aimed to characterise Alternaria sensitisation trajectories from childhood to adulthood; we compared SPT, whole‐extract sIgE and rAlt a 1, and assessed their longitudinal association with asthma and rhinitis in the Isle of Wight birth cohort. Alternaria sensitisation in the Isle of Wight Birth Cohort emerges mainly in late adolescence and, when ...

Food protein-induced allergic proctocolitis (FPIAP) is a non-IgE-mediated allergic condition that presents with hematochezia in otherwise healthy infants. It is most commonly induced by cow's milk protein via breast milk or formula.

ABSTRACT Allergic diseases arise from aberrant immune recognition of otherwise harmless environmental proteins and are driven by epitope‐specific interactions between allergens and the adaptive immune system. Although component‐resolved diagnostics have improved molecular characterisation of sensitization, they remain limited to whole‐allergen ...

Serotonin Degradation and Lipid Metabolism Regulate Human Tc2 Cell Effector Functions
Human Tc2 cells exhibit a metabolically active phenotype characterized by enhanced glycolysis, mitochondrial respiration, and fatty acid uptake dependent on PPARγ. Alarmins strongly amplify IL‐5 and IL‐13 production in Tc2 cells, supporting a shared immunometabolic program across type 2 lymphocytes.

ABSTRACT The skin is far from a passive shield; it functions as a dynamic “living barrier” whose structural and immunological integrity is paramount in preventing atopic dermatitis (AD) and the subsequent progression of the atopic march toward food allergy (FA).

Summary: Precise identification of food allergy and atopic dermatitis (AD) endotypes in infants is needed to target treatments effectively. Therefore, we investigated markers associated with changes in the microbiota and immune responses within the gut ...

Dupilumab significantly improved nasal polyp score, nasal congestion, olfaction, total symptom score, and disease‐specific quality of life in Chinese patients with uncontrolled CRSwNP. Incidence of treatment‐emergent adverse events was similar between dupilumab and placebo.
