Determinants of Poor Health‐Related Quality of Life in Patients With Food Allergy
Machine‐learning analysis of 502 well‐characterised food‐allergic patients was used to identify key determinants of poor FA‐HRQL, defined as FAQLQ ≥ 5. The most relevant predictors were adult age, female sex, multiple food allergies, severe reactions, need for urgent care, onset before 18 years, and longer disease duration.

ABSTRACT Mucosal surfaces are sites of highly dynamic interactions among epithelial and immune cells, environmental exposures, particularly dietary inputs, and the diverse microbial communities and their metabolites. These elements continually influence each other to maintain homeostasis and ensure appropriate immune discrimination between pathogens ...

Dendritic Cell α‐Ketoglutarate Regulates Tfh Polarization in Allergy
Allergen induces a dendritic cell metabolism shift toward glutaminolysis with α‐ketoglutarate as a regulator of Tfh subset polarization. Glutaminolysis is required for DC allergen uptake, co‐stimulatory molecule expression, and CLR expression. Modulation of glutaminolysis, JmjD3 histone demethylation, or HIF‐1α degradation alters Tfh polarization and ...

A pediatrician's guide to gastrointestinal allergies
Background. Cow's milk allergy is one of the most common food allergies in children. Gastrointestinal forms of food allergy require special attention from the pediatrician, but they still remain poorly recognized.

Microbiota Signatures in Early Life and Their Association With Food Allergy: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Food allergy (FA) is increasing worldwide, and early life may be a critical window for immune training. We systematically reviewed observational human studies linking early‐life microbiota (infant, maternal, environmental, or extraintestinal) profiled using culture‐based and/or culture‐independent methods (including sequencing‐based approaches)

This study examines the current state of food allergy prevention guideline implementation worldwide, identifying key variables that may explain the observed global variation. Among 731 healthcare professionals across 80 countries, geography and clinical specialty independently drove allergenic food introduction practices, creating an 8.5‐month practice

A nationwide survey of non-IgE-mediated gastrointestinal food allergies in neonates and infants
Non-IgE-mediated gastrointestinal food allergies (non-IgE-GIFAs) seem to be increasing rapidly worldwide. However, nationwide studies have been limited to food-protein-induced enterocolitis (FPIES) and food-protein-induced allergic proctocolitis (FPIAP), with little attention to other non-IgE-GIFA subgroups.
