Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Ultra-fast force-clamp spectroscopy data on the interaction between skeletal muscle myosin and actin
Ultrafast force-clamp spectroscopy is a single molecule technique based on laser tweezers with sub-millisecond and sub-nanometer resolution. The technique has been successfully applied to investigate the rapid conformational changes that occur when a ...

Geometrically robust linear optics from non-Abelian geometric phases
We construct a unified operator framework for quantum holonomies generated from bosonic systems. For a system whose Hamiltonian is bilinear in the creation and annihilation operators, we find a holonomy group determined only by a set of selected ...

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Generalized Transformation Optics of Linear Materials
We continue the development of a manifestly 4-dimensional, completely covariant, approach to transformation optics in linear dielectric materials begun in a previous paper.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Preparation of entangled states of two photons in several spatial modes
We describe a protocol capable of preparing an arbitrary state of two photons in several spatial modes using pairs of photons generated by spontaneous parametric down-conversion, linear optical elements and single-photon detectors or post-selection.

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Iterative Interplay between Aharonov-Bohm Deficit Angle and Berry Phase [PDF]
Geometric phases can be observed by interference as preferred scattering directions in the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) effect or as Berry phase shifts leading to precession on cyclic paths. Without curvature single-valuedness is lost in both case. It is shown how

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by
