Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Pathogenesis and clinical features of congenital stationary night blindness in case of c.283delC NYX gene mutation

open access: yesРоссийский офтальмологический журнал, 2019
The complete form of X-linked congenital stationary night blindness (CSNB) is a rare genetic disease caused by a mutation in the NYX gene. CSNB is associated with the mutations taking place in 17 genes, whilst its CSNB1A form is caused by the mutations ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Clarifying Pokhran-II in a multilinguistic setting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In May of 1998, India conducted its second nuclear test after a period of 24 years. This second test, known as Pokhran-II, caught the world by surprise and 17 days later it was followed by Pakistan’s first test of a nuclear device.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

The Effect of Non Freeze-dried Hydrogel-CHA on Fibroblast Proliferation

open access: yesJournal of Dentistry Indonesia, 2015
Bone damage can be caused by variety of surgical procedures. Bone reconstruction has been developed lately is tissue engineering techniques. One of materials that proved to be effective as a scaffold in tissue engineering is a hydrogel.
