Non-Reciprocal Interactions Reshape Topological Defect Annihilation

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters
We show how non-reciprocal ferromagnetic interactions between neighbouring planar spins in two dimensions, affect the behaviour of topological defects. Non-reciprocity is introduced by weighting the coupling strength of the two-dimensional XY model by an anisotropic kernel.

Tumor microenvironment complexity and therapeutic implications at a glance

open access: yesCell Communication and Signaling, 2020
The dynamic interactions of cancer cells with their microenvironment consisting of stromal cells (cellular part) and extracellular matrix (ECM) components (non-cellular) is essential to stimulate the heterogeneity of cancer cell, clonal evolution and to ...

Influenza Vaccination Responses in Disabled Stroke Patients: A Single‐Center Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to investigate the immunological response to influenza vaccination, the incidence and severity of influenza infection, and the side effects of the vaccination in patients with ischemic stroke. Methods This prospective observational study was conducted between 2023 and 2024 at Ramathibodi Hospital.

Uncovering G Protein‐Coupled Receptors: Novel Targets and Biomarkers for Predicting Glioma Prognosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Low‐grade gliomas (LGG) exhibit significant heterogeneity and recurrence risk. G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCR) contribute to glioma malignant progression, but their prognostic value remains unclear. This work attempts to formulate a GPCR‐based outcome‐predicting model for LGG. Methods Based on TCGA LGG data, the enrichment scores

Rigid flocks, undulatory gaits, and chiral foldamers in a chemically active polymer

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Active matter systems—such as a collection of active colloidal particles—operate far from equilibrium with complex inter-particle interactions that govern their collective dynamics. Predicting the collective dynamics of such systems may aid the design of

New Onset of Fibromyalgia After Exposure to a Combat Environment: A Longitudinal Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Traumatic life events are hypothesized to be triggers for the onset of fibromyalgia. Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a common comorbidity of fibromyalgia. However, limited prospective data are available on the development of fibromyalgia after exposure to high‐magnitude stress.

Neighborhood Socioeconomic Status and Short‐Term Functional Outcomes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Individuals with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) can accumulate functional status (FS) impairment. We evaluated the association between neighborhood socioeconomic disadvantage, as measured by the Area Deprivation Index (ADI), and FS in a national SLE sample.

Stochastic Thermodynamics of Non-reciprocally Interacting Particles and Fields

open access: yes
Nonreciprocal interactions that violate Newton's law 'actio=reactio' are ubiquitous in nature and are currently intensively investigated in active matter, chemical reaction networks, population dynamics, and many other fields. An outstanding challenge is the thermodynamically consistent formulation of the underlying stochastic dynamics that obeys local
