The nonstructural proteins of sindbis virus as studied with an antibody specific for the C terminus of the nonstructural readthrough polyprotein

Virology, 1985
A dodecapeptide containing the sequence of the C terminus of the nonstructural polyprotein of Sindbis virus has been synthesized and used to immunize rabbits. The antisera obtained precipitated polypeptides from cells infected with the HR strains of Sindbis or with temperature-sensitive mutants ts11 or ts18. Four different polypeptides, having apparent

Structure and function of rotavirus nonstructural protein NSP3

1996
The genomes of viruses in the family Reoviridae consist of segmented double-stranded RNA. There are 10 to 12 segments depending on the genus. The 5' ends and the 3' ends of the RNAs present conserved motifs for each virus genus. These conserved motifs have been hypothesized to play a role in genomic segment assortment during virus morphogenesis.

Serological relationships involving potyviral nonstructural proteins

1992
This report represents a compilation of many of the publications on antigenic properties of potyviral-specified nonstructural proteins. Polyclonal antisera have been prepared for use in characterization of six nonstructural proteins. These include antisera to the cylindrical inclusion proteins of at least 28 potyviruses, to small nuclear inclusion ...

Structural and nonstructural proteins of strain Colburn cytomegalovi

Virology, 1981
Abstract Studies to investigate the involvement of cytomegalovirus (CMV, strain Colburn) proteins in the infection process have led to the following observations. First, four types of virus particles can be recovered from infected cells. These particles are distinguished on the basis of their intracellular compartmentalization, sedimentation ...

Role of Nonstructural Proteins in HCV Replication

2016
The open reading frame of the HCV RNA genome is translated at the rough endoplasmic reticulum, yielding a polyprotein precursor that is co- and posttranslationally processed by cellular and viral proteases. The carboxy-terminal two-thirds of the polyprotein encodes various nonstructural (NS) proteins (NS2, NS3, NS4A, NS4B, NS5A, and NS5B), which, it is

[Advances in the coronavirus nonstructural protein 13].

Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology
Coronaviruses pose significant threats to animal and human health, leading to the development of various infectious diseases. It is critical to develop effective vaccines and antiviral medicines to prevent and treat these diseases. The coronavirus genome encodes several types of proteins, including structural, nonstructural, and accessory proteins ...
