Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Evaluating Spatial Normalization Methods for the Human Brain
Cortical stimulation mapping (CSM) studies have shown cortical locations for language function are highly variable from one subject to the next. Because no two cortical surfaces are alike and language is a higher order cognitive function, observed ...

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Normalization and Gene p-Value Estimation: Issues in Microarray Data Processing
Introduction: Numerous methods exist for basic processing, e.g. normalization, of microarray gene expression data. These methods have an important effect on the final analysis outcome.

On the normalization of a priority vector associated with a reciprocal relation. [PDF]
In this paper we show that the widely used normalization constraint SUM(i=1,n) wi = 1 does not apply to the priority vectors associated with reciprocal relations, whenever additive transitivity is involved.
