Intracellular trafficking of Notch receptors and ligands

The Notch pathway represents a highly conserved signaling network, which regulates the formation and maintenance of various organ systems along development and during adulthood. Direct cell-cell contacts between ligand- and receptor-expressing cells underlie activation of the Notch pathway.
