Harnessing Transformation of Metal‐Ligand Coordination in Dinuclear Ni(II)‐Schiff Base Coordination Polymer for Promoting Electrochemical Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ni–Schiff base coordination polymer [Ni2(tmd)2]n was synthesized and applied to enhance alkaline OER by virtue of its transformation between 5‐ and 6‐coordinate Ni sites along with the spin state exchange. ABSTRACT One of the major challenges in overall water splitting is improving the sluggish kinetics of the anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER ...

Role of neuropeptide Y in development of valproate-induced eating behaviour disorder

open access: yesЭпилепсия и пароксизмальные состояния
Background. Eating behaviour disorder (EBD) induced by valproic acid (VPA) is one of the components of the pathogenesis of a serious complication of therapy with VPA and its salts such as VPA-induced metabolic syndrome (MetS).

Cellpose+, a Morphological Analysis Tool for Feature Extraction of Stained Cell Images

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We introduce Cellpose plus, a morphological and geometrical analysis tool for feature extraction of stained cell images built over Cellpose, a state‐of‐the‐art cell segmentation framework. We also introduce a dataset of DAPI and FITC stained cells to which our new method is applied.

Galanin receptor 2 modifies neuropeptide Y Y1 receptor internalization and β-Arrestin recruitment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We have recently described a Galanin receptor 2(GALR2) and Neuropeptide Y Y1 receptor(NPYY1R) interaction at behavioural, cellular and receptor levels through GALR2/NPYY1R heterodimers.

‘Giving Back to Our Community’: The Retention of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Disability Workforce in New South Wales, Australia

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Australia require culturally responsive services. The Australian government has committed to establishing strategies to increase the size of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander disability workforce; however, there is scant research on the factors influencing retention.

Endocannabinoid and nitric oxide systems of the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus mediate effects of NPY on energy expenditure

open access: yesMolecular Metabolism, 2018
Objective: Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is one of the most potent orexigenic peptides. The hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN) is a major locus where NPY exerts its effects on energy homeostasis.

Neuropeptide Y enhances olfactory mucosa responses to odorant in hungry rats. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
Neuropeptide Y (NPY) plays an important role in regulating appetite and hunger in vertebrates. In the hypothalamus, NPY stimulates food intake under the control of the nutritional status.

New insights into the classification and nomenclature of cortical GABAergic interneurons. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A systematic classification and accepted nomenclature of neuron types is much needed but is currently lacking. This article describes a possible taxonomical solution for classifying GABAergic interneurons of the cerebral cortex based on a novel, web ...

‘Keeping Ourselves Safe From the System’: Perinatal Care Model Considerations for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families Intersecting With Child Protection

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT It is the priority of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and Australian governments, to provide infants with enriching environments in which they may thrive. This is particularly critical during the perinatal period. Yet, an increasing number of notifications and interventions by child protection authorities are occurring in ...
