Evaluation of the Antioxidant Activity of the Marine Pyrroloiminoquinone Makaluvamines
Makaluvamines are pyrroloiminoquinones isolated from Zyzzya sponges. Until now, they have been described as topoisomerase II inhibitors with cytotoxic effects in diverse tumor cell lines.

Dietary Methionine Restriction Regulates Liver Protein Synthesis and Gene Expression Independently of Eukaryotic Initiation Factor 2 Phosphorylation in Mice [PDF]
Background: The phosphorylation of eukaryotic initiation factor 2 (p-eIF2) during dietary amino acid insufficiency reduces protein synthesis and alters gene expression via the integrated stress response (ISR).Objective: We explored whether a Met ...

Solid predominant lung adenocarcinoma exhibits an immune‐excluded, ferroptosis‐resistant niche enriched with IL4I1⁺ TAMs and TDO2⁺ myCAFs. Spatial and multi‐omics analyses reveal AhR‐driven crosstalk that promotes T cell exhaustion and therapy resistance. Blocking AhR with CH‐223191 restores ferroptosis sensitivity, and its combination with ferroptosis

Endocytic Control of Cell‐Autonomous and Non‐Cell‐Autonomous Functions of p53
NUMB Ex3‐containing isoforms localize to the plasma membrane, where they recruit p53 through SNX9 and direct it to multivesicular bodies and exosomes. Exported p53 is taken up by neighboring cells and activates nuclear programs, revealing an intercellular, exosome‐based pathway that might help establish a tumor‐suppressive microenvironment.

Reprogramming of lysosomal gene expression by interleukin-4 and Stat6. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Lysosomes play important roles in multiple aspects of physiology, but the problem of how the transcription of lysosomal genes is coordinated remains incompletely understood.

NRF2 molecule of the month [PDF]
NRF2 – nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 is also known as GA binding protein transcription factor, alpha subunit 60kDa- GABPA [1, 2]. A recent literature review suggests that NRF2 has complex regulatory roles in cancer. NRF2 is a transcription factor and is upregulated by oncogenes.

Germ‐free (GF) mice receiving fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) reveal microbiota‐dependent effects on auditory aging. Integrated metagenomic, metabolomic and proteomic profiling maps gut–inner ear network and highlights 5‐hydroxytryptophan (5‐HTP) as a microbiota‐linked metabolic hub in age‐related hearing loss (ARHL).
