Nanoparticle‐Mediated Therapy for Glioma: Advances and Prospects

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 3, September 2026.
Various nanocarriers, including liposomes, dendrimers, exosomes and gold nanoparticles, are designed to penetrate the blood‐brain barrier and deliver chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, gene therapy, phototherapy, magnetic hyperthermia and sonodynamic therapy for glioma.

An NRP feature set

open access: yes, 2010
This document contains an extensive list of the NRP feature set developed in our research group. This feature set is used for constructing empirical hardness models for nurse rostering problems.

Microbiome‐mediated chemical communication in insects: Implications for pest management

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 9, Page 8132-8151, September 2026.
Microbiome–semiochemical interactions involve the following processes: direct microbial synthesis, host gene regulation, precursor biotransformation, microbiome modulation and indirect ecological signaling. Abstract Insects rely on semiochemicals to regulate aggregation, mating, foraging, and host selection. This review synthesizes evidence that insect‐

New perspectives on VEGF signalling in Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesBrain Pathology, Volume 36, Issue 5, September 2026.
Emery et al. bring together findings from recent multi‐omic studies, including single‐cell mRNA analysis of human post‐mortem brain tissue, and proteomic analysis of matched CSF and blood samples in large clinical studies. The authors present evidence of the involvement of altered VEGF signalling in vascular and immune dysfunction and neurodegeneration

Molecular analysis of condensation domain in non-ribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) gene of Ganoderma boninense [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Non-ribosomal peptides (NRPs) are a class of secondary metabolites produced by bacteria and filamentous fungi. So far, most fungal NRPs have been characterized for ascomycetes and basidiomycetes. Non-ribosomal peptide synthethases (NRPSs) are large multi-

The Relationship Between Paediatric Nurses' Perceptions of Family Presence During Resuscitation and Their Self‐Confidence Levels

open access: yesNursing in Critical Care, Volume 31, Issue 5, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Family Presence During Resuscitation (FPDR) is a key component of family‐centred care in paediatric settings, supported by international guidelines. However, limited evidence exists regarding how nurses' perceptions of FPDR relate to self‐confidence during paediatric resuscitation.

Synthetic active site probes for PKS and NRPS biosynthetic enzymes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Polyketides and nonribosomal peptides constitute two classes of natural products which are well known for their application as antibiotic, antiparasitic, antifungal, and anticancer agents.

Ferroptosis‐Based Peripheral Immune Dysregulation and Diagnostic Signatures in Parkinson's Disease: An RNA Transcriptomic and Single‐Cell Immune Sequencing Analysis

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 15, 15 August 2026.
This study explored the crosstalk between ferroptosis‐related genes and peripheral immune alterations in Parkinson's disease. We constructed a gene signature and classified molecular subtypes, and further pinpointed key ferroptosis‐associated molecules in immune cells and neuronal cells.

Identification of Siderophores With Unexpected Antibacterial Properties From Actinoplanes teichomyceticus

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 15, 14 August 2026.
Here, we report isolation of acyl‐desferrioxamines from Actinoplanes teichomyceticus as a mixture of iron and aluminum complexes. The fraction containing these molecules exhibited antibacterial activity. We synthesized these molecules and found that they only exhibited antibacterial activity in the presence of aluminum.
