Microbiome‐mediated chemical communication in insects: Implications for pest management
Microbiome–semiochemical interactions involve the following processes: direct microbial synthesis, host gene regulation, precursor biotransformation, microbiome modulation and indirect ecological signaling. Abstract Insects rely on semiochemicals to regulate aggregation, mating, foraging, and host selection. This review synthesizes evidence that insect‐

New perspectives on VEGF signalling in Alzheimer's disease
Emery et al. bring together findings from recent multi‐omic studies, including single‐cell mRNA analysis of human post‐mortem brain tissue, and proteomic analysis of matched CSF and blood samples in large clinical studies. The authors present evidence of the involvement of altered VEGF signalling in vascular and immune dysfunction and neurodegeneration

Molecular analysis of condensation domain in non-ribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) gene of Ganoderma boninense [PDF]
Non-ribosomal peptides (NRPs) are a class of secondary metabolites produced by bacteria and filamentous fungi. So far, most fungal NRPs have been characterized for ascomycetes and basidiomycetes. Non-ribosomal peptide synthethases (NRPSs) are large multi-

ABSTRACT Background Family Presence During Resuscitation (FPDR) is a key component of family‐centred care in paediatric settings, supported by international guidelines. However, limited evidence exists regarding how nurses' perceptions of FPDR relate to self‐confidence during paediatric resuscitation.

Synthetic active site probes for PKS and NRPS biosynthetic enzymes [PDF]
Polyketides and nonribosomal peptides constitute two classes of natural products which are well known for their application as antibiotic, antiparasitic, antifungal, and anticancer agents.

This study explored the crosstalk between ferroptosis‐related genes and peripheral immune alterations in Parkinson's disease. We constructed a gene signature and classified molecular subtypes, and further pinpointed key ferroptosis‐associated molecules in immune cells and neuronal cells.

Here, we report isolation of acyl‐desferrioxamines from Actinoplanes teichomyceticus as a mixture of iron and aluminum complexes. The fraction containing these molecules exhibited antibacterial activity. We synthesized these molecules and found that they only exhibited antibacterial activity in the presence of aluminum.
