Imaging Sequences for Hyperpolarized Solids
Hyperpolarization is one of the approaches to enhance Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) signal by increasing the population difference between the nuclear spin states.

Accurate structural correlations from maximum likelihood superpositions. [PDF]
The cores of globular proteins are densely packed, resulting in complicated networks of structural interactions. These interactions in turn give rise to dynamic structural correlations over a wide range of time scales.

Mixed-valence compounds as polarizing agents for Overhauser dynamic nuclear polarization in solids [PDF]
In this paper we investigate a novel set of polarizing agents -- mixed-valence compounds -- by theoretical and experimental methods and demonstrate their performance in high-field Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) experiments in the solid state. Mixed-valence compounds constitute a group of molecules, in which molecular mobility persists even in ...

NMR Studies of Retroviral Genome Packaging
Nearly all retroviruses selectively package two copies of their unspliced RNA genomes from a cellular milieu that contains a substantial excess of non-viral and spliced viral RNAs.

Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy as a dynamical structural probe of high pressure hydrogen [PDF]
An unambiguous crystallographic structure solution for the observed phases II-VI of high pressure hydrogen does not exist due to the failure of standard structural probes at extreme pressure. In this work we propose that nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy provides a complementary structural probe for high pressure hydrogen.

Extending Timescales and Narrowing Linewidths in NMR
Among the different fields of research in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) which are currently investigated in the Laboratory of Biomolecular Magnetic Resonance (LRMB), two subjects that are closely related to each other are presented in this ...

Spin polarization contrast observed in GaAs by force-detected nuclear magnetic resonance [PDF]
We applied the recently developed technique of force-detected nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to observe 71Ga, 69Ga, and 75As in GaAs. The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time is 21$\pm$5 min for 69Ga at $\sim 5$ K and 4.6 Tesla. We have exploited this long relaxation time to first create and then observe spatially varying nuclear spin polarization ...

Dynamical Response of Nanomechanical Resonators to Biomolecular Interactions [PDF]
We studied the dynamical response of a nanomechanical resonator to biomolecular (e.g. DNA) adsorptions on a resonator's surface by using a theoretical model, which considers the Hamiltonian H such that the potential energy consists of elastic bending energy of a resonator and the potential energy for biomolecular interactions.

Probabilistic interaction network of evidence algorithm and its application to complete labeling of peak lists from protein NMR spectroscopy. [PDF]
The process of assigning a finite set of tags or labels to a collection of observations, subject to side conditions, is notable for its computational complexity.
