Remarks on the quenching estimate for a nonlocal diffusion problem with a reaction term
In this paper, we address the following initial value problem\[\begin{array}{ll}\hbox{\(u_t=\int_{\Omega}J(x-y)(u(y, t)-u(x, t)){\rm d}y+f(u(x, t))\quad \mbox{in}\quad \overline{\Omega}\times(0,T)\),} \\\hbox{\(u(x,0)=u_{0}(x)\geq 0\quad \mbox{in}\quad ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

The numerical solution of nonlinear degenerate reaction-diffusion problems often meets two kinds of difculties: singularities in space – finite speed of propagation of compact supports’ initial perturbations and possible sharp moving fronts, where the ...

Study on induction hardening performance of 34CrNi3MoA steel crankshaft
The evolution of the temperature field, microstructure field, and residual stress field of a 34CrNi3MoA steel marine diesel engine crankshaft during medium-frequency induction hardening was studied based on an electromagnetic-thermal-transformation ...

Magnetic helicity flux in the presence of shear
Magnetic helicity has risen to be a major player in dynamo theory, with the helicity of the small-scale field being linked to the dynamo saturation process for the large-scale field.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Precise hardness and phase content prediction for quenched steel with the finite element method requires optimal material data, which is usually obtained from measured continuous cooling transformation (CCT) diagrams. However, most software packages that

We explore the dynamics of long-range Kitaev chain by varying pairing interaction exponent, $\alpha$. It is well known that distinctive characteristics on the nonequilibrium dynamics of a closed quantum system are closely related to the equilibrium phase

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Quenching Dynamics of a quantum XY spin-1/2 chain in presence of a transverse field
We study the quantum dynamics of a one-dimensional spin-1/2 anisotropic XY model in a transverse field when the transverse field or the anisotropic interaction is quenched at a slow but uniform rate.
