Nutrient Digestibility and Digestive Enzyme Activity in Fringe Lipped Carp, Labeo fimbriatus (Bloch, 1795), Fed Diets Containing Cottonseed Meal

open access: yesAsian Fisheries Science, 2021
Advanced fingerlings of Labeo fimbriatus (Bloch, 1795) were reared in aerated indoor plastic tanks to elucidate the dry matter and nutrient digestibility of cottonseed meal (CSM) in the feed.

Effects of Starch and Fat Concentrations in Starter Grain on Jersey Calf Performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We investigated the nutritional needs of Jersey calves, focusing on meeting energy requirements by altering starch and fat concentrations in calf starters.

Effects of replacing different proportions of barley grain by barley fibre on performance of dairy bulls [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The objective of the present experiment was to study the effects of partial replacement of barley grain with barley fibre (BF) on animal performance, carcass traits and diet digestibility of growing dairy bulls.

Growth performance, nutrient digestibility and intestinal morphology of rainbow trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss ) fed graded levels of the yeasts Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Wickerhamomyces anomalus

open access: yesAquaculture Nutrition, 2019
In a 10‐week study, we evaluated the effects of replacing 20%, 40% or 60% of fishmeal (present in control diet at 300 g/kg) on a digestible protein basis with yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae or a yeast mixture of Wickerhamomyces anomalus and S. cerevisiae

Polymorphism of MC4R gene associated with feed intake, nutrient digestibility, ADG and FCR at post-weaning in Bligon goats

open access: yesJournal of the Indonesian Tropical Animal Agriculture, 2020
The melanocortin-4 receptor (MC4R) gene plays an important role in sympathetic nerve activity, as well as adrenal and thyroid function and mediates the effects of leptin on energy homeostasis.

Nutritional potential of kenaf grain meal as a replacement for palm kernel cake in cassava peel-based concentrate for sheep

open access: yesAgricultura Tropica et Subtropica, 2021
The study evaluated the nutrient intake, apparent nutrient digestibility, performance and nitrogen balance of West African Dwarf (WAD) sheep fed cassava peel-based diets containing kenaf grain meal (KGM) in replacement of palm kernel cake (PKC).

Characteristics of Gut Microbiota in Sows and Their Relationship with Apparent Nutrient Digestibility

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2019
The gut microbiota plays important roles in animal health and nutrient digestibility. The characteristics of gut microbiota population in grower pigs and their correlation with apparent nutrient digestibility were assessed in previous study.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Effect of dietary peNDF levels on digestibility and rumen fermentation, and microbial community in growing goats

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2022
Physically effective neutral detergent fiber (peNDF) is a concept that accounts for the particle length of NDF in diets, sustaining the normal chewing behavior and rumen fermentation of ruminants.
