SINS/OD fault-tolerant navigation algorithm based on tracked vehicle kinematic constraints
In this paper, for the problem that the accuracy declining of the SINS/OD navigation caused by the sliding and idling during the process of turning and straight running, and stopping output of the odometer, a kinematic constraint model of the tracked ...

A Multi-Sensor Tight Fusion Method Designed for Vehicle Navigation
Using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), it is difficult to provide continuous and reliable position service for vehicle navigation in complex urban environments, due to the natural vulnerability of the GNSS signal. With the rapid development

The Ant Odometer: Stepping on Stilts and Stumps [PDF]
Desert ants, Cataglyphis , navigate in their vast desert habitat by path integration. They continuously integrate directions steered (as determined by their celestial compass) and distances traveled, gauged by as-yet-unknown mechanisms. Here we test the hypothesis that navigating ants measure

We compute the homology groups of transformation groupoids associated with odometers and show that certain $(\mathbb{Z}\rtimes \mathbb{Z}_{2})$-odometers give rise to counterexamples to the HK conjecture, which relates the homology of an essentially principal, minimal, ample groupoid $G$ with the K-theory of $C_{r}^{\ast }(G)$.

Two odometers in honeybees? [PDF]
SUMMARY Although several studies have examined how honeybees gauge and report the distance and direction of a food source to their nestmates, relatively little is known about how this information is combined to obtain a representation of the position of the food source.

Odometers and systems of numeration [PDF]
The \(G\)-odometer (also called \(G\)-adic machine), where the sequence \(G\) denotes a numeration scale, is a generalization of the addition of 1 in the group of the \(q\)-adic integers (when \(q=2\), the dyadic odometer is isomorphic to the von Neumann-Kakutani's transformation, also called van der Corput's transformation).

GO-INO: Graph Optimization MEMS-IMU/NHC/Odometer Integration for Ground Vehicle Positioning
Global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and inertial navigation system (INS) are indispensable for ground vehicle position and navigation. The Kalman filter (KF) is the first choice to integrate them and output more reliable navigation solutions ...
