Oil and Vinegar: Modern Parameters and Implementations

open access: yesTransactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems, 2023
Two multivariate digital signature schemes, Rainbow and GeMSS, made it into the third round of the NIST PQC competition. However, neither made its way to being a standard due to devastating attacks (in one case by Beullens, the other by Tao, Petzoldt ...

Separating Oil and Vinegar with a Single Trace

open access: yesTransactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems, 2023
Due to recent cryptanalytical breakthroughs, the multivariate signature schemes that seemed to be most promising in the past years are no longer in the focus of the research community.

Some Qualitative and Rheological Properties of Virgin Olive Oil- Apple Vinegar Salad Dressing Stabilized With Xanthan Gum [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2016
Purpose: Lipid oxidation and rheological properties are the main qualitative parameters determined in food emulsions. Salad dressings are food emulsions important in our daily diet, but conventional salad dressings have high amounts of cholesterol and ...

Effective assay for olive vinegar production from olive oil mill wastewaters

open access: yesFood Chemistry, 2018
In this work, an effective and simple approach for vinegar production from olive oil press-mill wastewaters (OMW) is presented. Effects of sterilization and yeast presence on the acetic acid production were investigated. Sugar addition and inoculum of selected yeast starter have been crucial for a satisfactory acidification.

Hilbert series and degrees of regularity of Oil & Vinegar and mixed quadratic systems

open access: yesDesigns, Codes, and Cryptography
In this paper, we analyze the algebraic invariants for two classes of multivariate quadratic systems: systems made by OV quadratic polynomials and systems made by both OV polynomials and fully quadratic ones. For such systems, we explicitly compute the Hilbert series, and we give bounds on the degree of regularity, solving degree and first fall degree ...

Effect of Origanum Oil and Vinegar on the Maintenance of Postharvest Quality of Tomato

open access: yesFood and Nutrition Sciences (Print), 2011
Tomato fruits (Solanum lycopersicum, L.) were exposed to origanum oil, vinegar, or chlorine at 12℃ and 95% RH. Quality-related attributes were examined during or following vapour treatment. Fruit pre-treated with natural volatiles and transferred to ambient air had less decay compared to control fruits.

Valorisation of Cranberry Residues through Pyrolysis and Membrane Filtration for the Production of Value-Added Agricultural Products

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
Pyrolysis is a thermochemical conversion process producing biochar, gas, and bio-oil at high temperatures in an oxygen-free environment. Specific pyrolysis conditions enable a significant production of the aqueous phase of bio-oil, commonly known as wood
