Ligand-dependent interaction of hepatic fatty acid-binding protein with the nucleus

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2000
Our studies were conducted to explore the role of hepatic fatty acid-binding protein (L-FABP) in fatty acid transport to the nucleus. Purified rat L-FABP facilitated the specific interaction of [3H]oleic acid with the nuclei.

Unraveling Tissue‐Specific Fatty Acid Biosynthesis and Inter‐Tissue Crosstalk in Mice through Stable‐Isotope Tracing Metabolomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biosynthesis rates of 13 FFAs are quantitatively calculated in 15 tissues from glucose and an analytical framework to quantitatively calculate inter‐tissue communications of fatty acids between the liver and other tissues is developed. Moreover, the approach is extended to aging condition and a system‐wide decline of fatty acid synthesis in peripheral ...

Gut Parabacteroides distasonis‐derived Indole‐3‐Acetic Acid Promotes Phospholipid Remodeling and Enhances Ferroptosis Sensitivity via the AhR‐FASN Axis in Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Indole‐3‐acetic acid (3‐IAA) derived from gut P. distasonis binds to AhR in bladder cancer cells and downregulates FASN transcription, thereby increasing sensitivity to ferroptosis and suppressing the development of bladder tumors. Specifically, 3‐IAA treatment leads to an increase in the proportion of PC/PE‐PUFAs and a decrease in the proportions of ...

Amplifying Anti‐Tumor Immune Responses via Mitochondria‐Targeting Near‐Infrared Photodynamic Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Interfacial Nd3+‐triplet energy transfer enables direct activation of molecular triplets under near‐infrared (NIR) irradiation for reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) exaggerates hypoxia, which initiates subsequent hypoxia‐activated chemotherapy.
