Myelination is important perinatally and highly dependent on long-chain saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids. Long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, nowadays often supplemented, inhibit oleic acid synthesis.

Eutectozymes as Soft Hybrid Materials for Advanced Biocatalysis
Eutectozymes are sustainable hybrid materials that embed a GOx–HRP cascade within hydrophobic eutectogels featuring a dual supramolecular–covalent network. This architecture preserves native enzyme structure and stability, enables efficient heterogeneous biocatalysis in aqueous media, and positions eutectogels as robust platforms for next‐generation ...

"A GAS CHROMATOGRAPHIC METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF INDIVIDUAL FREE FATTY ACIDS IN SERUM" [PDF]
Serum fatty acids on 30 healthy lranian women were detemined by a gas chromatographic method. Oleic and stearic acids were used as standards. The mean values were myristic acid 5.

Phase‐Pure and Size‐Tunable Tin Halide Perovskite Quantum Dots
A trioctylphosphine oxide modulated protocol allows for the synthesis and study of the optical properties of a broad library of tin halide perovskite quantum dots across multiple A‐ and X‐site compositions with precise size tuning while eliminating unwanted 2D phases.

Facet‐Specific PbS Quantum Dot Passivation Using Halide Perovskites for SWIR Photodetectors
PbS quantum dots (QDs) are emerging as powerful short‐wave infrared photodetectors, yet the passivation mechanism of large QDs by perovskites ‐ critical for their stability ‐ remains unexplained. Here, we unveil the ligand structure of CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPI)‐passivated 4‐nm PbS QDs using FTIR, XPS, SEM, NMR, and DFT.

Oleic acid-induced Ca2+ mobilization in human platelets: is oleic acid an intracellular messenger?
The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of oleic acid (OA) on intracellular Ca2+ mobilization in human platelets. When applied extracellularly, OA produced a concentration dependent rise in cytosolic [Ca2+] ([Ca2+]cyt) when extracellular [Ca2+] (Ca2+]ext) was zero (presence of EGTA), suggesting that OA caused an intracellular release of Ca2+
