Methods of olfactory ensheathing cell harvesting from the olfactory mucosa in dogs.
Olfactory ensheathing cells are thought to support regeneration and remyelination of damaged axons when transplanted into spinal cord injuries. Following transplantation, improved locomotion has been detected in many laboratory models and in dogs with ...

Bioengineered tissue constructs are vital technologies employed in in vitro testing of both fundamental biological principles and industrial screening practices. Current approaches to modelling the nasal mucosa in vitro are not representative and are associated with limitations that impact their reliability and predictive value.

ABSTRACT To perform a computed tomography (CT)‐based volumetric assessment of the nasal cavities in domestic cats and to evaluate the relationship between nasal cavity volume and selected morphometric variables. Fifty‐six European cats that underwent CT examination of the head were retrospectively included.

Olfactory mucosa immunostaining v1
This protocol describes the immunostaining of olfactory mucosa cells after cocnentrating and depositing a monolayer of the cell suspension onto a slide. For the preparation of the olfactory mucosa suspension refer to protocol "Olfactory mucosa sampling and processing" : dx.doi.org/10.17504/protocols.io.14egn2b86g5d/v1

A nanoscale drug delivery system is developed to improve how an antipsychotic reaches the brain. Using computer‐guided design, mixed micelles are engineered to enhance drug solubility and nasal transport. The system shows improved release and effectiveness in animal models, reducing symptoms while maintaining brain safety and structure.

ABSTRACT Background Although shifts in nasal microbiota have been well‐documented in inflammatory upper airway conditions, microbiota tumor‐associated alterations remain uncharacterized. This study is the first to compare sinonasal microbiota profiles of patients with malignant tumors (MT), benign tumors (BT), and controls, offering insights into tumor‐
