PEG-Supported Synthesis of Cyclic Oligodeoxyribonucleotides
Nucleosides and Nucleotides, 1993Abstract Cyclic oligodeoxyribonucleotides have been synthesized in satisfactory yields by an easy procedure using polyethylene glycol (PEG) as soluble supporting polymer. The present method is particularly suitable for a medium to large scale synthesis.

Oligodeoxyribonucleotides as Site-Specific Mutagens [PDF]
①Classical genetic analysis of cells and viruses involves spontaneous or induced mutation together with screening or selection for a changed phenotype followed by assignment of the changed DNA to a specific location in the genome. This approach has been very useful in defining the various functions of DNA both in coding and regulatory regions ②The ...

An efficient method for the sequence analysis of oligodeoxyribonucleotides
Analytical Biochemistry, 1983Modifications of the chemical method of DNA sequence analysis that permit rapid and reliable sequence determination of single-stranded oligodeoxyribonucleotides as short as 4 nucleotides in length are reported. The principal changes made were increasing the level of chemical modification and optimizing the conditions for recovery of the chemically ...

Chemical Synthesis of Oligodeoxyribonucleotides
1987Oligodeoxyribonucleotides of defined sequence may now be synthesised as a matter of routine at a reasonable cost in both time and materials. As both applications of and synthetic methods for oligodeoxyribonucleotides are much more highly developed than those for oligoribonucleotides, the term ‘oligonucleotide’ has come to be synonymous with ...

An Inverse Approach in Oligodeoxyribonucleotide Synthesis
Nucleosides and Nucleotides, 1997Abstract We synthesized 3′-O-dimethoxytrityl-5′O-phosphoramidites and 5′-O-succinates which can be used as monomeric building blocks for the built up of oligodeoxyribonucleotides in the alternative 5′-3′ direction. With this inverse strategy oligonucleotide 3′-conjugates as well as 3′-3′ and 5′-5′ internucleotidic linkages can be easily formed.

Internalization of Oligodeoxyribonucleotides byVibrio parahaemolyticus
Antisense Research and Development, 1993The bacterium Vibrio parahaemolyticus was tested for its ability to internalize unmodified as well as modified DNA oligomers without attempting to permeabilize the cells. These experiments were conducted to establish whether it may be feasible to employ antisense oligomers for control of gene expression in Vibrio species without heat-shocking or ...

Synthesis and Biochemical Evaluation of Phosphonoformate Oligodeoxyribonucleotides
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2006Phosphonoformate oligodeoxyribonucleotides were prepared via a solid phase synthesis strategy. The first step in the preparation of appropriate synthons was condensation of bis(N,N-diisopropylamino)phosphine and diphenylmethylsilylethyl chloroformate in the presence of sodium metal to yield formic acid, [bis(N,N-diisopropylamino)phosphino]-beta ...

Random mutagenesis using degenerate oligodeoxyribonucleotides
Gene, 1988An efficient method for random mutagenesis was applied to a 75-bp target sequence. The mutational changes in the target region are introduced by the technique of oligodeoxyribonucleotide(oligo)-directed, site-specific mutagenesis using mixtures of degenerate oligos.

Synthesis of cyclic branched oligodeoxyribonucleotides
1991The synthesis of two cyclic branched oligonucleotides, a trimer and a tetramer of thymidylic acid, has been successfully achieved exploiting a phosphotriester-based synthetic protocol.
