Combining gene expression data from different generations of oligonucleotide arrays

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2004
Background One of the important challenges in microarray analysis is to take full advantage of previously accumulated data, both from one's own laboratory and from public repositories.

Design, validation and annotation of transcriptome-wide oligonucleotide probes for the oligochaete annelid Eisenia fetida. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
High density oligonucleotide probe arrays have increasingly become an important tool in genomics studies. In organisms with incomplete genome sequence, one strategy for oligo probe design is to reduce the number of unique probes that target every non ...

Current updates of CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated genome editing and targeting within tumor cells: an innovative strategy of cancer management

open access: yesCancer Communications, Volume 42, Issue 12, Page 1257-1287, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats‐associated protein (CRISPR/Cas9), an adaptive microbial immune system, has been exploited as a robust, accurate, efficient and programmable method for genome targeting and editing. This innovative and revolutionary technique can play a significant role in animal modeling, in vivo genome

Identification of genomic imbalances in oral clefts

open access: yesJornal de Pediatria, 2021
Objective: This article presents a clinical and cytogenomic approach that focuses on the diagnosis of syndromic oral clefts (OCs). Methods: The inclusion criteria were individuals with OC presenting four or more minor signs and no major defects (non ...

Fabrication and Functionalisation of Nanocarbon‐Based Field‐Effect Transistor Biosensors

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 23, Issue 23, December 5, 2022., 2022
Next‐generation diagnostics: Nanocarbon‐based field effect transistors (NC‐FETs) use incoming target analytes to impart a gating effect on conductance. Here, we review the operational mechanisms behind NC‐FETs, the fabrication and functionalisation of NC‐FETs with receptor biomolecules and downstream biosensing applications.

A strategy for detection of known and unknown SNP using a minimum number of oligonucleotides applicable in the clinical settings

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine, 2003
Detection of unknown single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) relies on large scale sequencing expeditions of genomic fragments or complex high-throughput chip technology.

High sensitivity electrochemical DNA sensors for detection of somatic mutations in FFPE samples [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We offer new high-performance label-free electrochemical impedimetric DNA sensors of non-faradaic type. The DNA sensors based on a platform of crystalline carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays are fabricated by the Langmuir--Blodgett (LB) deposition technique. The CNT arrays are suspended on a nanoporous anodic alumina (aluminium oxide, AOA) support.

Identical probes on different high-density oligonucleotide microarrays can produce different measurements of gene expression

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2006
Background There are many potential sources of variability in a microarray experiment. Variation can arise from many aspects of the collection and processing of samples for gene expression analysis.
