Familial occurrence of azoospermia and extreme oligozoospermia
Clinical Genetics, 1984To determine the familial incidence of azoospermia and extreme oligozoospermiak (AEO; sperm counts < 3 106/ml) 147 men with primary AEO were asked, by means of mailed questionnaires, for the occurrence of infertility among their brothers. 119 questionnaires were completed (81 %).

Treatment of idiopathic oligozoospermia with tamoxifen.
Acta Europaea fertilitatis, 1985Eighteen subfertile men, with idiopathic normogonadotropic oligozoospermia were treated with an antiestrogenic compound, tamoxifen (Nolvadex), at the dose of 20 mg/day for four months. Hormonal parameters (LH, FSH, Testosterone, Prolactin) were evaluated before treatment and after 45 and 90 days of therapy.

A Modern Approach to the Gonadotropin Treatment in Oligozoospermia
Andrologia, 2009A critical review of the gonadotropin therapy in male infertility or hypofertility is presented. In the author's opinion, the poor and conflicting results so far obtained wih this kind of treatment are mainly due to inadequate selection of the patients admitted to the treatment itself.
