PFAS from a Discrete‐Event Terrestrial Source Migrates with Groundwater to Intertidal Seepages
PFAS is conveyed to the coastal intertidal zone from sources across the terrestrial landscape. Discharge of PFAS into the coastal ecosystem is complicated in space and time by the ongoing bi‐directional exchange of terrestrial groundwater and ocean water driven by tidal pumping within discharge areas.

Evaluation of the Potential of Microalgae as Bioremediation Agents for Olive Mill Wastewater
The potential for bioremediation of olive mill wastewaters with different origins—olive washing (OWW) and olive oil extraction (OMW)—among four species of microalgae (Chlorella vulgaris, Auxenochlorella protothecoides, Scenedesmus obliquus, and ...

AD–OX: A sequential oxidative process for water treatment— Adsorption and batch CWAO regeneration of activated carbon [PDF]
A sequential process for water treatment involving usual adsorption on activated carbon (AC) followed by wet air catalytic oxidation of the adsorbed pollutants has been carried out in a fixed bed reactor with a mixture of two model pollutants.

Pollution estimation from olive mills wastewater in Jordan [PDF]
Olive mill wastewaters (OMWWs) are a significant source of environmental pollution, especially in important olive oil producing countries such as Spain, Greece, Syria, Jordan and other countries in the Mediterranean. Due to cost issue no treatments plants are currently available at the mills; therefore, OMWW is normally discharged into the environment ...

PLFAs of the microbial communities in composting mixtures of agro-industry sludge with different proportions of household waste [PDF]
Phospholipid fatty acids (PLFAs) were analysed at different time periods during composting of two waste mixtures rich in fats, M1 (22%) and M2 (39%), with the aim of monitoring changes in microbial community structure.

A focus on fouling of nanofiltration membranes in the treatment of two-phase olive mill wastewater by boundary flux and pore blocking theories [PDF]
The implementation of membranes in water and wastewater treatment processes has significantly increased in the last decades. However, membrane fouling leads to increased expenses if not properly examined and considered, and this is especially problematic
