Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Tunable ultracompact electro-optical photonic crystal ring resonator
The tunable ultracompact electro-optical photonic crystal ring resonator with high transmission is presented. The photonic crystal ring resonator is obtained by removing a ring shape of cylinders from a square lattice of dielectric cylinders in air.

Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Experimental verification of a metamaterial open resonator
Open resonators have been widely applied in dielectric sensing and laser cavity. In this letter, we designed and fabricated a novel open resonator using a metamaterial transmission line medium.

Fiber-Coupled Ultra-High-Q Microresonators for Nonlinear and Quantum Optics [PDF]
The ability to confine optical energy in small volumes for long periods of time is desirable for a number of applications, ranging from photonics and nonlinear optics, to fundamental studies in quantum electrodynamics.

Sensors in the medical field to detect specific tissues, such as radars, must provide accurate signals from frequency generators. In order to supply an accurate frequency signal, the oscillator must have a low phase noise.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Towards an Ultra Sensitive Hybrid Mass Sensor Based on Mode Localization without Resonance Tracking
We present a mode localized mass sensor prototype based on a hybrid system excited at a fixed frequency slightly below the resonances. Indeed, we show, both theoretically and experimentally, that this condition yields higher sensitivities and similar ...

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches.
