Forest Fire Clustering: A Novel Tool for Identifying Star Members of Clusters
In the era of a data-driven landscape, the development of an efficient and interpretable method has become a pivotal tool for robustly identifying memberships of clusters.

A 38 Million Year Old Neptune-sized Planet in the Kepler Field
Kepler 1627A is a G8V star previously known to host a 3.8 R _⊕ planet on a 7.2 day orbit. The star was observed by the Kepler space telescope because it is nearby ( d = 329 pc) and it resembles the Sun.

A variable star survey of the open cluster M 37 [PDF]
A CCD photometric study of the dense galactic open cluster M37 is presented and discussed. The majority of the analysed data are time-series measurements obtained through an R_C filter. The observations were carried out on seven nights between December 1999 and February 2000, and have led to the discovery of 7 new variable stars in the field.

In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Utilizing Voronoi Tessellations to Determine Radial Density Profiles
We have developed a novel method of determining 2D radial density profiles for astronomical systems of discrete objects using Voronoi tessellations. This Voronoi-based method was tested against the standard annulus-based method on five simulated systems ...

Kinematics of the Local Spiral Structure Revealed by Young Stars in Gaia DR3
Using young open clusters and O–B2-type stars in Gaia Data Release 3, we investigate the kinematics of the local spiral structure. In general, the young sources in the outer spiral arms may present larger peculiar motions than those in the inner spiral ...

Integrated parameters of star clusters: A comparison of theory and observations
(Abridged) This paper presents integrated magnitude and colours for synthetic clusters. The integrated parameters have been obtained for the whole cluster population as well as for the main-sequence (MS) population of star clusters.

Binary Stars in Globular and Open Clusters [PDF]
In erecting the edifice we call science, it is given to some to draw the plans by which the entire effort will be guided, to others to lay the foundation stones on which the rest is built, to another group to place the windows that let in light upon the whole, and to still others to cover the result with the paint that will make it acceptable to the ...

The number of circulating tumor cells obtained from prostate cancer patients was increased approximately 5‐fold compared to regular CellSearch when processing 2 mL diagnostic leukapheresis material aliquots and increased by 44‐fold when processing 20 mL DLA aliquots using the flow enrichment target capture Halbach‐array.

Exploring Galactic open clusters with Gaia I. An examination in the first kiloparsec [PDF]
Context. Since the first publication of the Gaia catalogue a new view of our Galaxy has arrived. Its astrometric and photometric information has improved the precision of the physical parameters of open star clusters obtained from them. Aims. Using the Gaia DR3 catalogue, we aim to find physical stellar members including faint stars for 370 Galactic ...
