Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

The origin of mass segregation in open clusters—whether it is primordial (imprinted at birth) or dynamical (evolved over time)—remains a subject of intense debate. We present a comprehensive multi-scale analysis of 3881 open clusters using high-precision

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Lost Sisters Found: TESS and Gaia Reveal a Dissolving Pleiades Complex
Most star clusters dissolve into the Galaxy over tens to hundreds of millions of years after they form. While recent Gaia studies have honed our view of cluster dispersal, the exact chronology of which star formation events begat which star cluster ...

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Velocity Dispersion of the Open Cluster NGC 2571 by Radial Velocities and Proper Motions
We use a kernel density estimator method to evaluate the stellar velocity dispersion in the open cluster NGC 2571. We derive the 3D velocity dispersion using both proper motions as extracted from Gaia Data Release 3 and single-epoch radial velocities as ...

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

The spin, expansion, and contraction of open star clusters
Context. Empirical constraints on the internal dynamics of open clusters are important for understanding their evolution and evaporation. High-precision astrometry from Gaia DR3 is thus useful to observe aspects of the cluster dynamics. Aims. This work aims to identify dynamically peculiar clusters such as spinning and expanding clusters.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Li Evolution among Stars of Low/Intermediate Mass: the Metal-deficient Open Cluster NGC 2204
We have analyzed high-dispersion spectra in the Li 6708 Å region for 167 stars within the anticenter cluster NGC 2204. From 105 probable members, abundance analysis of 45 evolved stars produces [Fe/H] = −0.40 ± 0.12, [Si/Fe] = 0.14 ± 0.12, [Ca/Fe] = 0.29
