Continuous Suppression of Pathological Retinal and Choroidal Neovascularization in Cynomolgus Monkeys via Noninvasive Ophthalmic Delivery of a Novel Anti‐VEGFA Nanobody and Proprietary Penetratin Analog Formulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pathological retinal/choroidal neovascularization drives vision loss in DR and AMD. Current anti‐VEGF injections, while effective, require invasive, frequent administration. Pene/LQ015, is developed a novel topical anti‐VEGFA nanobody formulation achieving therapeutic intraocular levels through penetratin analog‐enhanced delivery.

HMGB2 Promotes Cardiomyocyte Proliferation and Heart Regeneration Through MTA2‐Driven Metabolic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In contrast to the adult mammalian heart, which lacks regenerative capacity, the neonatal heart retains a transient regenerative capacity. In this study, high mobility group box 2 (HMGB2) is identified as a crucial protein driving heart regeneration based on comprehensive analyses using quantitative proteomics with tandem mass tag (TMT) labelling, RNA ...

A "site" for sore eyes

open access: yesSouth African Family Practice, 2018
It is known that not all red eyes are caused by infections. Furthermore, not all eye infections will react to antibiotic eye drops. Most cases of conjunctivitis are due to viral causes, do not require antibiotic eye drops and are usually self-limiting ...

Spatial Transcriptomics Reveals Transcriptomic and Immune Microenvironment Reprogramming during Thyroid Carcinoma Dedifferentiation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Spatial transcriptomic analysis of Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC)‐differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) coexisting tumors reveals that coexisting DTC regions with ATC‐like genomic alterations undergo sequential transcriptomic reprogramming and immune microenvironment remodeling, ultimately evolving into a full ATC pathological phenotype.

Loss of Hepatic Angiotensinogen Attenuates Diastolic Dysfunction in Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Increased hepatic angiotensinogen (AGT) abundance leads to cardiac diastolic dysfunction via the AngII‐independent pathway. Liver‐derived AGT is internalized by LRP2 in cardiac endothelial cells, subsequently contributing to myocardial diastolic dysfunction by suppressing microvascular angiogenesis via inhibiting the GATA2/Pim3 pathway.

Wavelength Tunable Pulsed Lasers Enabled by a Versatile Metafiber Functioning as Both Saturable Absorber and Filter

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic diagram of wavelength‐tunable pulsed laser based on metafiber‐FP (Fabry‐Perot). The alcohol solution is filled inside the FP cavity to simultaneously form a spectral filter and a saturable absorber. By adjusting the refractive index value and temperature inside the cavity, the tunable filtering effect is introduced to realize wavelength ...
