Research progress on the depth of anesthesia monitoring based on the electroencephalogram

open access: yesIbrain, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 32-43, Spring 2025.
Electroencephalogram (EEG) can noninvasive, continuous, and real‐time monitor the state of brain electrical activity, and the monitoring of EEG can reflect changes in the depth of anesthesia (DOA). The development of artificial intelligence can enable anesthesiologists to extract, analyze, and quantify DOA from complex EEG data.

Recent applications of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles for cerebral blood volume quantification in functional magnetic resonance imaging

open access: yesIbrain, EarlyView.
This study explores the recent advances in the use of iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) in functional MRI (fMRI) for studying brain functions, specifically cerebral blood volume (CBV) measurements. It covers fMRI techniques, magnetic nanoparticle synthesis, coating methods, and their applications in CBV imaging, in comparison to other contrast agents in

Effects of integrated programs for substance‐involved mothers on infant and child development outcomes: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesInfant Mental Health Journal: Infancy and Early Childhood, EarlyView.
Abstract Maternal substance use is a pressing public health issue that confers risk for maternal health, the parent‐infant relationship, and child development. Integrated interventions that jointly address maternal substance use and child development have shown promise for enhancing child outcomes.
