Aim A prior non‐randomized study suggests that potassium supplementation may improve survival among furosemide initiators, and a randomized trial suggests that salt substitutes containing potassium might lower stroke risk. We conducted a retrospective cohort study using health‐care data to confirm or refute these associations among new users of ...

The effects of NETs on regeneration of various diabetic tissues, and strategies targeting NETs for diabetes tissue regeneration. In the diabetic environment, NETs undergo complex metabolic and immune reprogramming, leading to dynamic changes in antibacterial and proinflammatory functions, and affecting regeneration of multiple systemic tissues.

Pathology of Ischemic Optic Neuropathy
Ischemic optic neuropathy (ION) describes a state of hypoxic injury of the optic nerve. Clinically, ION is divided into anterior and posterior forms defined by the presence or absence of optic disc swelling, respectively. It is further classified as arteritic when secondary to vasculitis, and nonarteritic when not.

The regulation of stem cell fate and its application in neural regeneration
Regulating stem cell fate is crucial for neural regeneration. This review summarizes key physical, biological, and chemical strategies and their applications in repairing nerve injuries, providing new insights for regenerative medicine. Abstract Regulating the fate of stem cells (SCs) is a key technical problem in the field of regenerative medicine and

Bilateral Optic Nerve Enhancement in Posterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy Secondary to Hypovolemic Shock [PDF]
Enhancement of the optic nerve is occasionally noted in patients with arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (ION) and non-arteritic anterior ION. We report a rare case of bilateral optic nerve enhancement in hypotension-related posterior ION (PION)

This case illustrates sequential intracranial occlusions in large‐vessel vasculitis compatible with Takayasu arteritis preserving perfusion through robust collateral pathways. Transcranial color‐coded duplex sonography identified characteristic blunted flow patterns and focal turbulence, underscoring its value in detecting hemodynamic compromise beyond
