PARETO-OPTIMALITY AND L-OPTIMAL FOR SOLVING SOME CLASSES OF OPTIMAL CONTROL PROBLEM

open access: yesФинансы: теория и практика, 2017
Many practical problems of economic activities and a number of important issues of economic theory are connected to the choice of optimal solution. An adequate economic theory should reflect the process of continuous development of the economic system ...

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Taking Primitive Optimality Theory Beyond the Finite State

open access: yes, 2000
Primitive Optimality Theory (OTP) (Eisner, 1997a; Albro, 1998), a computational model of Optimality Theory (Prince and Smolensky, 1993), employs a finite state machine to represent the set of active candidates at each stage of an Optimality Theoretic ...

Optimality theory and minimalism: interface theories

open access: yes, 2009
The papers contained in this issue share the insight that the different components of the grammar sometimes impose conflicting requirements on the grammar’s output, and that, in order to handle such conflicts, it seems advantageous to combine aspects from minimalist and OT modelling. The papers show that this can be undertaken in a multiplicity of ways,

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Optimality and duality in set-valued optimization utilizing limit sets

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2018
This paper deals with optimality conditions and duality theory for vector optimization involving non-convex set-valued maps. Firstly, under the assumption of nearly cone-subconvexlike property for set-valued maps, the necessary and sufficient optimality ...

On Interference Alignment and the Deterministic Capacity for Cellular Channels with Weak Symmetric Cross Links

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, we study the uplink of a cellular system using the linear deterministic approximation model, where there are two users transmitting to a receiver, mutually interfering with a third transmitter communicating with a second receiver.

Targeting p38α in cancer: challenges, opportunities, and emerging strategies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
p38α normally regulates cellular stress responses and homeostasis and suppresses malignant transformation. In cancer, however, p38α is co‐opted to drive context‐dependent proliferation and dissemination. p38α also supports key functions in cells of the tumor microenvironment, including fibroblasts, myeloid cells, and T lymphocytes.
