Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Experimental investigation of coupled thermo-mechanical behaviour of Kaolin clay [PDF]
An experimental study regarding the thermo-mechanical behaviour of a Malaysian Kaolin is presented in this paper. Mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) tests have been performed on compacted samples with varying initial water contents. Samples compacted at

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Characterization of phospholipase B of Culex pipiens fatigans
Phospholipase B has been found in the mosquito Culex pipiens fatigans, and some of its properties have been studied. The enzyme had a high optimum temperature (45°C) and broad alkaline pH optimum (8-9).

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Water activity, solute and temperature modify growth and spore production of wild type and genetically engineered Aspergillus niger strains. [PDF]
The effect of interactions of water activity (aw) (0.99–0.90), temperature (20, 30 and 35 °C) and modifying aw solute (glycerol, NaCl) on growth and sporulation of a wild-type strain of Aspergillus niger (W) and two genetically engineered lysozyme ...
