Immunotherapy in oral cancer

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy And Bioallied Sciences, 2019
Immunotherapy is one of the newer entities which is promising, at least can be very much helpful as an adjuvant therapy. This newer modality of the treatment in the field of cancer treatment may be the fourth pillar supporting surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

A sex-dependent salivary bacterium influences oral mucositis severity after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation

open access: yesnpj Biofilms and Microbiomes
The success of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (alloHCT) in curing hematologic disorders is limited by its short- and long-term toxicities.

Oxoglutarate Carrier Inhibition Reduced Melanoma Growth and Invasion by Reducing ATP Production

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2020
Recent findings indicate that (a) mitochondria in proliferating cancer cells are functional, (b) cancer cells use more oxygen than normal cells for oxidative phosphorylation, and (c) cancer cells critically rely on cytosolic NADH transported into ...

Oral Cancer

open access: yesJournal of Student Research, 2022

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.
