Mechanism of spindle stability and poleward flux regulating spindle length during the metaphase
Summary: During metaphase, the spindle stabilizes chromosomes and maintains its size despite continuous microtubule poleward flux. To investigate the mechanism of the spindle stability and how the poleward flux regulates the spindle size, we establish a ...

Dynein-Mediated Regional Cell Division Reorientation Shapes a Tailbud Embryo
Summary: Regulation of cell division orientation controls the spatial distribution of cells during development and is essential for one-directional tissue transformation, such as elongation. However, little is known about whether it plays a role in other

A role for Gle1, a regulator of DEAD-box RNA helicases, at centrosomes and basal bodies. [PDF]
Control of organellar assembly and function is critical to eukaryotic homeostasis and survival. Gle1 is a highly conserved regulator of RNA-dependent DEAD-box ATPase proteins, with critical roles in both mRNA export and translation.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Vaccine strategy when the smallpox model fails: 1. immune cognition, Malaria and the Fulani [PDF]
We begin to examine the implications of IR Cohen's work on immune cognition [1-3] for vaccine strategies when simple elicitation of sterilizing immunity fails, as is the case for HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.
