Pyridine Into Pyrrole Transformation Induced Within the Confinement of the Macrocycle
This work demonstrates the nontrivial reactivity of pyridine incorporated into a porphyrin framework. The most significant achievement is the contraction of the six‐membered ring to a pyrrole ring, which is a phenomenon of great interest to researchers in this field.

A series of bio-organometallic-hydrazones of the general formula [{(η5-C5H4)-C(R)=N–N(H)-C6H4-4-SO2NH2}]MLn(MLn = Re(CO)3, Mn(CO)3, FeCp; R=H, CH3) were prepared by reaction of formyl/acetyl organometallic precursors with 4-hydrazino-benzenesulphonamide.

Double E─H Bond Activation of Ammonia and Water by Cyclic Gallaphosphene L(OCP)GaPGaL
Cyclic gallaphosphene 1 undergoes a twofold E─H bond activation with ammonia and water via a beneficial interplay between the polar “GaPGa” unit and the electrophilic nature of the C center in the bridging PCO unit, yielding six‐membered heterocycles 2 and 3, in which both nucleophilic phosphorus atoms are protonated.

Mixing metals: The elusive unsupported two‐center‐two‐electron Mg─Ca bond has been realized by using a combination of β‐diketiminate and amidinate ligands. Due to electronegativity differences (Mg: 1.31, Ca: 1.00) the formal oxidation states are Mg0─CaII.
