Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Originalism Isn\u27t What It Used to Be: The Nondelegation Doctrine, Originalism, and Government by Judiciary

open access: yes, 2021

Originalism Is Useless

open access: yes, 2010
Originalism is in ascendance. Both in judicial opinions and in the legal academy, originalist methods of constitutional interpretation are increasingly prominent. This essay nevertheless makes what may seem a claim – originalism is useless.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Saving Originalism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this Review of Unwritten, we will make three points. First, we will describe Amar's method in revealing an unwritten Constitution. We will use women's rights as an example of a gap in the written Constitution that Amar corrects with a variety of ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

The End of Originalism

open access: yes, 2009
Much has been written about originalism - the idea that the Constitution should be interpreted according to its original meaning. This Article goes beyond previous works by asserting that originalism may be nearing its demise.

Originalism, Official History, and Perspectives versus Methodologies

open access: yes, 2023
This paper addresses a well-worn topic: originalism, the theory that judges should interpret the Constitution in a manner consistent with the intent of its framers. I am interested in the real-world effects of originalism.
