OTFT backplanes for integration into flexible displays

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
Recent developments in high performance organic semiconductor (OSC) materials have shown charge mobilities in the range of 2 to 5 cm 2 /Vs. We present our progress in fabricating organic thin film transistor (OTFT) backplanes using a low temperature process (100°C maximum) and the prospects for integration into flexible displays.

Pentacene OTFT with parylene gate dielectric

2008 International Conference on Advanced Semiconductor Devices and Microsystems, 2008
Organic thin film transistors (OTFT) characteristics generally depend on organic semiconductor thin film growth conditions and the gate dielectric. Authors concerned with the basic properties of pentacene OTFT, where the gate dielectric consists of three different dielectric materials: SiO2 (HMDS treated), SiO2 covered with diacetylene SAM formed by ...

Instability of OTFT with Organic Gate Dielectrics

Solid State Phenomena, 2007
We report the effects of instability with gate dielectrics of pentacene thin film transistors (OTFTs) inverter circuits. We used to the UV sensitive curable resin and poly-4-vinylphenol(PVP) by gate dielectrics. The inverter supply bias is VDD= -40 V.

New method of driving an OLED with an OTFT

Synthetic Metals, 2005
Abstract We present a new method of driving an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) with an organic thin-film transistor (OTFT). The OTFT and the OLED were fabricated on separate substrates, namely on Si for the OTFT and on glass for the OLED and both devices were laminated with silver paste.

OTFT modeling: Development and implementation in EDA tools

2013 Spanish Conference on Electron Devices, 2013
In this work we present the process entailed to implement a model for organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs): from the development of the complete model, to its validation and use in a circuit simulator. For this purpose the current-voltage model (UMEM) and its related charge and capacitance model for OTFTs (UBCM) were applied.

Reversible Electrical Characteristics in PMMA on P3HT OTFTs

ECS Transactions, 2007
The conjugated polymer Poly (3-Hexylthiophene) (P3HT) has attracted much attention as material for the fabrication of Organic Thin Film Transistors (OTFTs) because of its relatively high mobility. However, it has been reported that P3HT increases its conductivity when it is exposed to air or oxygen.

Bidimensional modelling of pentacene TGTC OTFT

STUDIES IN ENGINEERING AND EXACT SCIENCES
Modern electronics has been shifting these two last decades significantly towards organic materials based on their specific electroactivity, a small molecules Pentacene (C14H22) is widely used as p-type semiconductor channel in thin-film transistors (TFTs) and has high mobility. In this study, a 2-dimensional modelling under Silvaco Software is adopted.

Solution processed OTFT circuits on plastic substrates

2007 65th Annual Device Research Conference, 2007
Solution-processed organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) may allow high volume, low cost manufacturing approaches such as ink-jet printing and roll-to-roll processing. Poly (3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) based solution-processed 5-stage ring oscillators with frequency of several kHz and 7-stage ring oscillators using soluble rubrene with frequency of 1.5 ...
