Vectorized numerical algorithms for the solution of continuum mechanics problems
The aim of the work is to study the possibilities provided by new information technologies, object-oriented programming tools and modern operating systems for solving boundary value problems of continuum mechanics described by partial differential ...

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Comparison of high-order methods on unstructured grids [PDF]
A high-order Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method is formulated and implemented on the Cranfield University’s 3D unstructured Finite Volume Method (FVM) code (UCNS3D), for both linear and non-linear hyperbolic conservation laws and for test-cases which ...

Deterministic numerical solutions of the Boltzmann equation using the fast spectral method [PDF]
The Boltzmann equation describes the dynamics of rarefied gas flows, but the multidimensional nature of its collision operator poses a real challenge for its numerical solution. In this paper, the fast spectral method [36], originally developed by Mouhot

Review of unified gas-kinetic scheme and its wave-particle approach
Unlike traditional computational fluid dynamics (CFD), which is constrained by the conventional framework of discretizing partial differential equations (PDEs), the core idea of direct modeling approach is the integration of the cell-grid size as the ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

High-order methods for steady, unsteady and transitional flow over a cylinder [PDF]
In this thesis, the flow around a cylinder is chosen as a test case for higher-order numerical reconstruction techniques. No direct comparison of these higher-order methods has been carried out for this particular test case.
