Ovalbumin is an elastase substrate.
Ovalbumin is partially homologous in sequence with the proteinase inhibitors alpha 1-proteinase inhibitor and anti-thrombin III. The region of sequence in ovalbumin which corresponds to the reactive sites of these proteinase inhibitors is susceptible to attack by subtilisin, elastase, thermolysin, bromelain, and Bacillus cereus protease.

ABSTRACT Background Allergic rhinitis (AR) and asthma are involved in complex interactions between Th1 and Th2 inflammatory pathways. House dust mite (HDM) activates protease‐activated receptor 2 (PAR2) to trigger inflammatory responses, but current treatments often provide inadequate control.

Heterologous production and characterisation of a yeast peptide:N-glycanase : a thesis presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Biochemistry at Massey University, New Zealand [PDF]
Peptide:.N-glycanases (PNGases) removes A-linked glycans from glycoproteins. Three distinct families of PNGases have been characterised, although all of them not completely. Some of these PNGases are cytosolic, others are secreted.

Abstract Background Radiotherapy (RT) is a key treatment modality in cancer therapy, utilizing high‐energy radiation to directly kill tumor cells. Recent research has increasingly highlighted RT's potential to indirectly enhance antitumor immunity. However, this immune activation alone often fails to generate sustained systemic antitumor responses.
